ClimbingNote+ (including services provided by our App and other products, hereinafter referred to as "Products and Services") is developed and operated by Chengdu Slowwalk Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us").

Ensuring user data security and privacy protection is our top priority. This privacy policy describes the data we collect when you access and use our products and services, and how we process it. Please carefully read and fully understand all the rules and key points of this privacy policy before continuing to use our products. Once you choose to use them, you are deemed to agree to all the contents of this privacy policy and consent to our collection and use of your relevant information. If you have any questions about this policy while reading, please contact our customer service at climbingnote@slowwalk.net or through the feedback feature in the product. If you do not agree with this agreement or any of its terms, you should stop using our products and services.

This privacy policy helps you understand the following:

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

Personal information refers to various information recorded electronically or by other means that can, alone or in combination with other information, identify a specific natural person or reflect the activities of a specific natural person. We collect and use your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the "Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China", "Information Security Technology - Personal Information Security Specification" (GB/T 35273-2017), and other relevant laws and regulations, strictly following the principles of legitimacy, legality, and necessity, during your use of our services and/or products.

1.1 Location Information

When you use the climbing activity recording feature, we will obtain your geographic location information (latitude and longitude) with your authorization for:

  • Recording your climbing location (gym or crag)
  • Automatically identifying your current climbing venue
  • Obtaining city names through reverse geocoding for easier location identification

Your location information is only stored locally on your device and will not be uploaded to our servers. You can turn off location permissions in system settings at any time; after turning it off, you can still manually enter location names.

2. How We Store and Protect Your Personal Information

As a general rule, we only retain your personal information for the time necessary to achieve the purpose of information collection. We will retain your personal information for the time strictly necessary to manage our relationship with you (for example, when you open an account and obtain services from our products). For the purpose of complying with legal obligations or to prove a right or contract meets applicable statute of limitations requirements, we may need to retain your archived personal information after the above period expires and cannot delete it at your request. If you confirm that you no longer use our products and services and actively cancel your account as required, all information will be completely deleted. We use industry-standard security measures to protect the personal information you provide, and encrypt key data to prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss. We will take all reasonable and feasible measures to protect your personal information. We use encryption technology to ensure data confidentiality; we use trusted protection mechanisms to prevent malicious attacks on data.

3. How We Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information

When necessary for managing our daily business activities, and in pursuit of legitimate interests to better serve customers, we will use your personal information in a compliant and appropriate manner. For comprehensive business considerations, we only use this data ourselves and do not share it with any third parties. We may share your personal information externally in accordance with laws and regulations, or at the mandatory request of government authorities. When we receive such disclosure requests in compliance with laws and regulations, we will require the corresponding legal documents, such as subpoenas or investigation letters. We firmly believe that information we are required to provide should be as transparent as possible within the scope permitted by law.

In the following circumstances, sharing, transferring, or publicly disclosing your personal information does not require your prior authorization:

  1. Directly related to national security and national defense security;
  2. Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and judgment execution;

  7. Necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the products or services provided, such as discovering and handling product or service failures;
